That innings was all about the mammoth partnership between two titans of ODI cricket. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli combined to score 230 flawless runs for the second wicket, the duo punctuating quick running with some stunning boundary strokes. Both made centuries in quick time, helping the hosts to reach an imposing 337/6. The Kiwis might be disappointed with the way they bowled, especially through the middle overs, but this remains a fantastic pitch for batting so anything is possible yet.

Edged over short third man but India are already celebrating, they have held their nerve in an amazing match in Kanpur to seal the ODI series 2-1.
What a thrilling match that was, a boundary-bonanza as a fitting finale to this series. Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal held their nerve with the ball to maintain India's unbeaten run at home. They picked up five wickets between them in a quality display of skill. Colin Munro, Kane Williamson and Tom Latham made defiant half centuries as the Kiwis made the hosts sweat, but in the end India had enough on the board. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli compiled superb centuries earlier in the day, that provided the backbone of their total well in excess of 300. New Zealand probably needed one of their top order to kick on and make a big century, but a combination of scoreboard pressure and high class bowling made it a tough task. So India take the ODI series 2-1, but the Black Caps will have the chance for revenge when the T20I series starts on Wednesday.

Huge appeal but the umpire isn't interested, it looked like that pitched outside leg stump to me. India elect to review but ball tracking shows exactly that, the ball clearly pitching outside leg.
