OUT! Bowled. Andrew Tye to Jake Ball. Yorker, off stump no foot movement pushing, missed. Timber, that's five for Tye. Sensational bowling from the home-town hero to get his maiden ODI five wicket haul.

England have been bundled out for 259 at the new Optus Stadium, that seems at least 25 under par. Australia pulled things back expertly after the tourists got off to a lightning start courtesy of Jason Roy. With big boundaries square of the wicket, the short pitched attack worked wonders through the two Perth lads - Mitch Marsh and Andrew Tye. Joe Root held things together and ensured England got something of note on the board, but they couldn't even bat out the 50 overs in the end as Tye ran riot.

  • 47.3

Andrew Tye to Tom Curran. Full toss, down leg side on the front foot flick, well timed to fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Starc.

  • 47.1

OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to Joe Root. Slower length ball, middle stump backing away driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Warner. Taken on the boundary, Root falls now as the Tye slower ball works wonders for Australia. Tye has four wickets now, giving him career best figures in ODI cricket, an outstanding effort. Root wanted to launch this into orbit but lost his shape slightly, and Warner was never going to drop it. The hosts are buzzing now.

  • End of Over 47

OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to David Willey. Slower length ball, off stump on the front foot flick, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Marsh. Spooned out into the deep, Marsh takes an excellent tumbling catch. England are falling in a bit of a heap here, they won't bat out the 50 overs at this rate. Root just watches the carnage helplessly from the non-striker's end. Willey looks for a big heave to leg but becomes the third batsman to be bamboozled by the Tye slower ball.

  • 45.3

OUT! Run Out. Andrew Tye to Adil Rashid. Slower length ball, middle stump on the front foot dropped, to point, direct hit by Smith. Root calls Rashid through for the quick single, taking on the arm of the Aussie captain. Smith swoops in from point, gathers and nails the non-striker's stumps with a bullet throw. It's always close with a direct hit, and Rashid is short by an inch. Fantastic fielding by Smith.

  • 43.4

    Tim Paine b Tom Curran 34 (44)

OUT! Bowled. Tom Curran to Tim Paine. Reverse Swing-In length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, missed. Tom Curran is the hero, nerves of steel from the young man to rattle the stumps once again. England have pulled off a remarkable victory by just 12 runs and Curran finishes with a maiden five wicket haul.

The new Optus Stadium in Perth has been treated to a thrilling match to kickstart it's life as an international sports venue. The balance see-sawed back and forth through twists and turns, but in the end the tourists came away with the victory to take the series 4-1. With Marcus Stoinis at the crease, it seemed as though Australia were coasting towards the target as he relished his new role up the order. His wicket sparked a bit of a collapse for the hosts though, with the tourists able to extract lavish reverse-swing through Tom Curran. The Surrey quick bowler cleaned up the lower order, taking the final two wickets to claim his maiden international five wicket haul in an outstanding display of skill and nerve. He scoops the player of the match award, with Joe Root getting player of the series. That equals Australia's heaviest ODI series defeat on home soil, a massive statement by England as they prove themselves to be a juggernaut in this format before the World Cup next year. Next up for these sides is a T20I Tri-Series also involving New Zealand, starting with a Trans-Tasman affair on Saturday in Sydney.

SIX! Jake Ball to Tim Paine. Length ball, off stump moves in front Scoop, well timed in the air under control over fine leg for 6 runs. What a shot, remarkable in the circumstances. Paine gets down low and cheekily dinks this all the way for six. The crowd erupts, what a finale to this series.

  • 47.3

FOUR! Jake Ball to Tim Paine. Slower ball short, outside off stump backing away cutting, bottom edge past third man for 4 runs. It's off the edge but Australia won't mind how they come, it's gone to the fence. There's a third man back on the rope but it's gone quickly and fine of him. Drama in Perth.

    એડમ જાંપા b Tom Curran 11 (17)

OUT! Bowled. Tom Curran to Adam Zampa. Reverse Swing-In half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, missed. Timber, Curran rattles the middle stump and has both arms out in celebration. The young man is clearly loving this tight contest, and it's helping him to thrive. Zampa looks absolutely gutted, unable to get willow on this as the ball sears into the target. England are one wicket from victory, Australia still need 24 runs.

  • 44.5

APPEAL! OUT changed by umpire to NOT OUT after REFERRAL. David Willey to Adam Zampa. Reverse Swing-In half volley, to leg on the front foot flick, hit pad for no runs, appeal made for L.B.W. Up goes the finger, Willey pumps the air - Zampa has no choice but to ask for a review in hope. It looked out in real time as the left-armer got this to tail back into the batsman. Ball tracking says it's pitched outside the line of leg stump though, amazing. Small margins involved there.

  • 43.6

Jake Ball to Tim Paine. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Hales. More issues for England, Ball seems to be really struggling with something. He still has two overs left to bowl, the tourists might need to look elsewhere now.
