Hailing from the Chapai Nawabganj district, Nahid’s cricketing journey began in 2020. After completing his Higher Secondary School Certificate that same year, he enrolled in a cricket academy in Rajshahi to refine his skills. Initially serving as a net bowler for Rajshahi Division, his ability to consistently bowl at high speeds quickly caught the attention of scouts.

Nahid made his first-class debut for Rajshahi Division on October 31, 2021, in the National Cricket League. A year later, on the same date, he delivered a stunning performance, securing his maiden five-wicket haul against Barishal Division in the 2022–23 season.
