Player Biography

Imesha Dulani is one of the most promising young batters in Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket setup, known for her elegant stroke play and composure at the crease. She has quickly earned a reputation as a future mainstay of Sri Lanka’s batting lineup. She made her domestic List A debut in 2019–20, representing Kandy District, and soon established herself as a rising talent in Sri Lanka’s domestic competitions. Her consistent run-making in provincial cricket and age-group tournaments brought her to the selectors’ attention, setting the stage for her international call-up.

Dulani made her international debut in 2023, in WODI’s against Bangladesh and in T20Is against New Zealand, and has since become a key part of their top order. She has represented Sri Lanka in major tournaments, including ICC global events, where her calm batting style and ability to rotate strike have stood out. Still early in her career, Dulani’s rise through the ranks reflects Sri Lanka’s focus on nurturing young talent, and she is widely regarded as one of their brightest hopes for building a stronger batting core in years to come.
